"Elegant Disposition"

Direction Will Forrester
USA, 2006

We often search for beauty in the most peculiar places. Our perceptions of what is actually aesthetically pleasing are formed by our cultural surroundings. If I were to accept Americas mainstream definition of beauty, I would have to compromise my soul. Therefore, I have attempted to sway my thoughts to a place that opposes the status quo. And I continually question, what is the true meaning of an elegant disposition when I find beauty in nearly everything I see? Through a lengthy process of experimentation, Will Forrester has attempted to transform mundane imagery into a lyrical fluidity which tries to exist in the same realms as music. The music for this piece was written by the filmmaker with the intention of cinematic use.
